Due to our strong US and international growth with our Fortune 500 client, we are currently looking to recruit a talented International Technical Advisor (Pâtissière/Sweets) located in Seattle, Washington(or close state, relocation assistance available).

 

Travel includes, Mexico, Canada, Europe and Asia. The mission of the International Technical Advisor is to support the Global Account Manager and the local country technical teams in order to reach the defined objectives for our Customers at a global level.

Responsibilities

 

Market Understanding:

  • Be up to speed with latest trends and trendsetters in the market.
  • Share this with Our Customers and local teams.
  • Integrate these insights in the concepts and finished product development.

 

Customer Understanding & Relationships:

  • Have an in-depth understanding of Our Customers operational ISB and triangular reality in order to make the best-finished product proposals. Base is the USA – but this should become an international understanding.
  • Share this knowledge with the local teams (globally) and translate it in dos/don’ts in order to make the local teams more efficient.
  • Centralize the knowledge via the Large Accounts Channel portal
  • Build close relationships with Our Customer teams at worldwide level

 

Finished Product Development:

  • Develop new international finished good concepts – “WOW” items.
  • Collect and share international WOW item information (concept, recipe, process) monthly.
  • Build finished products/recipe database available for all tech teams.
  • Assist in solving issues to execute ISB and triangular launches.

 

Ingredient Development

  • Assist in the development of new ingredients by testing these starting from Our Customers operational reality.

 

Build Strong Local Technical Teams

  • Train local Puratos/Our Customers teams on the concepts and WOW items.
  • Map the local Puratos technical teams working for Our Customers and identify strengths/weaknesses.
  • Build development plans for the technical team based upon the competence mapping

 

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English
  • Creative, but also structured & methodical
  • Customer focused
  • Business & result driven
  • Strong interpersonal skills: establishes easily contacts  - adapts to international cultures
  • Team player, ready to give support to colleagues
  • Technical education on Patisserie/Sweet goods
  • Prior experience in a technical role is a must – ideally in a retail environment.
