This position will manage the sales activities for Puratos products and third party products within a region of the Retail market segment (Bakery, Patisserie and Chocolate) with the aim to be a preferred supplier of products to our industry.  This position will work closely with the other employees in the Retail sales division to create innovative programs, and will be based in various locations throughout the USA.


  • Nurture / manage strong business partnerships with key customers to ensure existing business and create new business.
  • Prospection: identify and develop new business opportunities with new customers.
  • Develop new relationships with industry leaders to recognize future sales opportunities and promote Puratos to be a preferred supplier.
  • Inform RSM about competitors’ activities and product pricing.
  • Prepare analysis of sales results and explain major differences vs. annual budget and prior year on a monthly basis.  Suggest corrective actions and help implement these actions.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing is preferred
  • Three (3) to five (5) years experience in direct selling in the commercial business (preferably in the Bakery business) with proven results in relationship building, negotiation skills, strategic insight and concept thinking. Must have an ability to influence, advise, and manage retail accounts.
  • An in-depth knowledge of Marketing & Sales to develop new concepts, ideas with a creative and goal oriented objective.
  • A broad knowledge of our product range, technical knowledge, and product applications.
  • A good knowledge of the baking ingredients market and industry related businesses
  • Excellent social competencies, respect and understanding of diverse cultures and languages for relationship building.
  • Knowledge of applicable software programs to communicate via email and develop activity memos, reports, and spreadsheets.
  • Keen understanding of financial issues relating to sales and profit. Must be able to analyze and solve problems with a financial perspective. 
  • Excellent oral communication, written, and presentation skills. Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • A broad knowledge of legal aspects and their impact on business activities
